A clot is utilized to improve regeneration and healing time, reduce postoperative pain and recovery time, and reduce the risk of postoperative infection.
What is the difference between a Biological and a regular extraction? In a Biological Extraction the periodontal ligament, which can harbor inflammation and bacteria, is removed. This allows the patient's body to undergo proper healing. After the PDL is removed the area is cleansed with ozone O3 and packed with PRF and bone graft material to encourage regeneration, reduce recovery time, and diminish post operative pain.
